Q. Why should I provide wifi to my customers?
A. For cafes and restaurants, providing Guest Wifi means customers are more likely to stay longer, spend more money, and come back again knowing they can connect to the rest of the world.
For motels and hotels, availability of internet connectivity is a significant factor to many people when booking their accomodation. In the 21st century, it's almost as important as air-conditioning for some people!
Many international tourists do not have data connectivity on their mobile phones, relying on Guest Wifi services to stay connected with their family and freinds back home. They will become customers of the business that is able to help them do that.
Regardless of your industry, providing connectivity allows your customers to connect with their friends and tell them how great your business is!
Q. What is included?
A. Our business is providing service. We provide and install all the required wireless equipment for your site. We then provide on-going configuration, maintenance and management on an on-going basis to ensure your guest network is operational and working as it should be.
Q. What is not included?
A. Connectivity to the internet is obtained utilizing your existing internet connection. Therefore we recommend you have a good quality broadband connection (eg ADSL2+ or NBN) to ensure your customers receive satisfactory performance.
Support for your existing network design etc can be arranged, however is not included in the standard monthly costs.
Q. I already have wifi on my modem/router, why do I need a special service?
A. Opening your existing wifi network to guests allows those users to access all other devices on your internal network - this may mean access to your POS terminals, EFTPOS machines or "back office" computers. Needless to say this is not a safe solution, especially if you store customer details anywhere.
Our solutions are designed to protect your internal network for unauthorized access, and a security audit forms part of every installation. Of course part of our service is to monitor the on-going security of the system.
Q. What if I don't have an existing internet connection?
A. We can work with you to establish an internet connection through one of our recommended service providers. Separate charges will apply to those providers.
Q. Does AHS Networks advertise to my customers?
A. No. You are our customer and we do not insert any advertising or other media into your customers connections.
